Sustainability

Sustainability will always be at the heart of With Love, Michaela. For me, slowing fashion down means making clothes in small runs, using sustainable materials, and giving pre-loved fabrics a new story.

Materials

As someone who loves charity shopping, I’ve always enjoyed finding unique and wonderful pieces. That’s now part of my creative process too, searching for fabrics and pre-loved clothing that can be given a completely new life through patchwork.

I really wanted to create something that didn’t add more waste to the environment. There is already so much fabric being produced in the world, and I’m big on repurposing. That’s why I use what I find in charity shops, second-hand fabrics, and one-off materials. Once a fabric is used up, it’s gone, which makes every piece even more unique. Alongside this, I also buy blanks to put my designs on, but I’ve chosen the most sustainable supplier I could find: Stanley & Stella. Their 100% organic ring-spun cotton is softer, more ethical, and far more sustainable than fast-fashion fabrics. These pieces form the base of my everyday collection, made to be worn again and again.

Waste Free

Nothing goes to waste. Bigger offcuts are kept and reused in future designs, while threads and tiny offcuts get collected and used as stuffing for ornaments and other small creations.

The Bigger Picture

I believe fashion can be personal, creative, and sustainable all at once. By choosing With Love, Michaela, you’re supporting slow fashion and helping to give clothes a longer, more meaningful life.

Packaging

Even the packaging is made from 100% recycled mailer! So nothing goes to waste. From the clothes to the box it arrives in, every detail has been chosen with care.
